Tim Rose | Morning Dew | (CBS) 1967

“Morning Dew” / “You’re Slipping Away From Me” (CBS 202631) March 1967

Tim Rose | Morning Dew | (CBS) 1967 | TIM ROSE used to sing with Mama Cass in America and then originally recorded “Hey Joe”. His phrasing is Hendrix-like, and “Morning Dew” is a favourite of mine with lots of strange comforting sounds. (Disc & Music Echo, 25/03/67)

I like this. Great feel about it. It’s really pushing along. I don’t know what he’s singing about though, I can’t hear a word. Is he coloured – I hate that phrase “is he coloured” but it doesn’t sound like a white man.

It will be a good discotheque record for dancing, but I don’t think it will be a hit. (Vince Hill, Blind Date review | Melody Maker, 01/04/67)
