Kenny Lynch | My Own Two Feet | (HMV) 1964 | A medium shaker, dual-tracked by Kenny Lynch with chanting girls in support. “My Own Two Feet” is much faster than Ken’s hit-worthy “What Am I To You” – but equally unorthodox material.
The well-conceived lyric is convincingly handled, with a big, brash backing. The tune’s contagious, too.
Another mid-tempo offering “So Much To Love You For” was written by Kenny with Mort Shuman. Some unusual ear-catching phrasing on this one. (NME, 27/11/64)
